Self-Similarity Breaking: Anomalous Nonequilibrium Finite-Size Scaling and Finite-Time Scaling

Symmetry breaking plays a pivotal role in modern physics. Although self-similarity is also symmetry and appears ubiquitously nature, fundamental question whether makes sense or not. Here, by identifying the most important kind of critical fluctuations dubbed as phases comparing consequences having with those lacking fluctuations, we show that can indeed be broken significant at least nonequilibrium situations. We find results new exponents which give rise to violation well-known finite-size scaling less-known finite-time different leading ordered disordered paradigmatic Ising model on two- three-dimensional finite lattices when it subjects simplest driving linear heating cooling through its point, stark contrast identical amplitudes usual phenomena. Our demonstrate how surprising driven phenomena be. Application other classical quantum phase transitions highly expected.
